The power of yoga


Yoga is not about touching toes or doing “perfect” poses - what does perfect mean anyway? Yoga means taking full responsibility for your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health, living its principles not just on the mat but in everyday life. It means showing up, meeting your edges, working through tough stuff, cultivating clarity, growing with grit and grace, and acting ethically.

Through yoga philosophy and practices like āsana (postures), prāṇāyāma (breathing methods), meditation, mantra, and yoga nidrā, you learn to step into your power with compassion, honesty, strength, and heart. The physical benefits such as a stronger body and increased flexibility are the welcome side effects of a discipline that liberates body, mind, and spirit.

This is about true freedom. Freedom from the roots of suffering (kleshas) through regular practice cultivating self awareness, resilience, presence, deep connection, and an ethical life you love. And not only for ourselves, but for everyone and everything as we are all connected. Sounds serious? It is, but it also alive with playfulness, joy, and fierce love. Yoga means coming home to your true Self.

Ingrid is a rāja (classical) yoga teacher, death doula, and horticulturist bringing depth and diversity to every class blending different practices. She has further specialised qualifications in yin yoga, mantra and meditation, herbology, and yoga nidra and co-created the book '10 Bunnies of Zen'.

A retreat is not a holiday, it is an immersion. It is time away from everyday noise. To hear what really matters by spending a day(s) fully with intentional practices without rushing back to “real life”.

Rooted Souls Sanctuary


Once a month on a Monday evening Ingrid hosts free online live sessions about yoga, spirituality, life, and death. The sessions consist of breathing, meditation, yoga nidra, yoga philosophy, journalling, and to hosting talks from guest speakers.

We believe everyone should have access to yoga, no matter your financial situation which is why we organise these free events and offer yoga sessions on Insight Timer for free with the option to donate.
