Join Ingrid for a 1 hour session where she weaves together a mix of postures (asanas), breathwork (pranayama), meditation, relaxation, mantra, and yoga philosophy. While every class includes a mix of some of these elements, the blend of practices varies weekly offering a unique experience each time. Ingrid offers several options for poses making this class suitable for any level.

Rooted in ancient teachings, classical yoga explores the 8-limbed path, providing a path to self-awareness, inner peace, and ethical living.

Practising helps to:

  • Increase flexibility, strength, and balance
  • Enhance mental clarity and focus
  • Cultivate inner calm and emotional resilience
  • Deepen understanding of yoga as a holistic path to well-being on and off the mat
  • Deepen connection with yourself and the world around you

Classes are held at the Gilvenbank Community Sports Hub in Glenrothes - Fife - Scotland on Wednesdays from 18.10 - 19.10. If the weather allows us to be outside we will be practising in Riverside Park - you will receive and email on the day (please check your spam/junk folder) or receive an update in the Whatsapp Group (If you would like to be added to the group, reply to the confirmation email when booking with your phone number). Please arrive 5 minutes before starting and bring your own mat, water, blanket, and anything else you need to support your body (think of blocks, a scarf, bolster or extra pillows). Please make sure to wear enough layers to stay warm as the body cools down quickly when sitting still, lying down, or holding poses for longer.

If you prefer to pay through bank transfer please contact us. We aim to be as flexible as possible.

This offering is for £9 per class and we have 12 spaces available per class. We have discounted blocks available at the beginning of each month for anyone who wants to commit to their self-care (scroll down to register for series).

Are you seeking a practice that helps you slow down, increase flexibility and mobility, and connect deeply with yourself? Yin Yoga offers a transformative way to release tension, cultivate stillness, and embrace inner balance.

Treat your Self and join Ingrid for a special monthly Yin Yoga Deep Dive where each pose becomes an opportunity to strengthen your body and awaken your inner light. Please scroll down to see the next date and to book your spot or view our schedule here.

Yin Yoga Deep Dive consists of holding poses for a longer period of time, anywhere between 2 minutes and 10 minutes. This strengthens our deep and non stretchy tissues such as ligaments, tendons, and bones, whilst bringing awareness to our inner wellbeing and divine light. Ingrid weaves meditation, breathing, relaxation, philosophy, and mantra throughout the class creating a holistic journey for the body, mind, and spirit.

This class is suitable for anyone above 18, from beginner to advanced. Yin yoga is not suitable however, for anyone who suffers from major physical ailments. Yoga is ideally practised on a (fairly) empty stomach. Please make sure you left enough time between meals and yoga - ideally 3 hours. A light snack such as a piece of fruit or a nutbar is absolutely fine at least 1 hour before practising.

Connect with Sacred Sound

Join Maggie and Ingrid for a special evening of bhakti yoga at the Garden Studio in Falkland.

Sound is an integral part of living and can be healing for body, mind, and spirit. Connect with the divine in you and everything through the sacred sounds of mantra and kirtan. It is going to be special!

Bhakti means love, devotion, or worship and bhakti yoga can be translated as 'the path of the heart' or 'path of loving devotion'. It is one of four classical paths of yoga, the others being Jnana yoga, Karma yoga, and Raja yoga. All of these lead to enlightenment or spiritual liberation and self-realization.

Maggie and Ingrid will lead you through several mantras and kirtan this evening, ending with a beautiful meditation. The mantra and meditation session is 75 minutes long followed by a cuppa and a chat.

Please bring water, something comfortable to sit on, and wear comfortable clothing. Feel free to bring an instrument so you can join in with the rhythm and a blanket to stay warm. We have a limited amount of chairs available, if you would like one please let us know.

It is £10 for the evening and there are 12 spaces available. If you prefer to pay through bank transfer (saves processing costs), please contact us or contact Ingrid or Maggie through social media. We know that these times can be tough financially. If you would love to join us but are facing financial challenges, please contact us. We aim to be as flexible as possible.

We are looking forward to sharing mantra and kirtan with you!

Tea with a Death Doula

Death and grief are a natural part of life whether from loss, change, or transformation.

Tea with a Death Doula: Sacred Space for Death, Grief, and Life’s Turning Wheel is an online gathering where we sit together in reflection, conversation, yoga philosophy, and gentle practice. Join Ingrid to explore, share, and heal in a sacred space where death and life meet.

Grief and death touch us all in different ways and whether you are coming to reflect, share, or simply listen, please know that you are welcome exactly as you are.

Over a cup of tea, we honour the natural cycles of life and death, creating space to explore grief, mortality, and transformation with openness and curiosity. Grief is not only about losing a loved one. It can arise from endings of all kinds: shifts in identity, relationships, ancestral grief, dreams, and the sorrow for the world.

Through shared stories, readings and yoga philosophy, quiet contemplation, and practices like breathwork, meditation or yoga nidra, we soften into the reality of impermanence. Not as an end, but as a sacred turning of the wheel.
Next session: 19th of December

The structured session will be 1.5 hours followed by an optional 30-minute space for those who wish to stay, share, or simply be with community.

Whether you are grieving, seeking to befriend death, or are drawn to these profound transitions, you are welcome here. Sharing is optional, if you prefer to simply sit, listen, and be, that is absolutely perfect too.

We honour the principle of dāna, an ancient practice rooted in Buddhist, Hindu, and Jain traditions meaning “generosity” or “the act of giving”. Traditionally, it is a way to offer support given freely from the heart without expectation of return. In the modern world it continues as a way to cultivate generosity and ensure accessibility, recognising that meaningful support should be available to all while also honouring fair and sustainable exchange.

Pricing is offered at a sliding scale and starts at £7.50 for anyone who is facing financial challenges. The suggested minimum is £10 but there are other pre-set options and the option to choose your own value.

This gathering flows organically with the individuals who attend LIVE. Due to the confidentiality and vulnerable nature of the sessions we DO NOT RECORD THESE SESSIONS. Replays will not be send out. Before booking please make sure you are able to attend LIVE.

Online Autumn Yoga Day Retreat

FUNDRAISER FOR GAZA.

Ingrid has been in touch with Menna in Gaza. She is 19 and lives with her family in a tent. She lost her brother and father. At the moment it is difficult to donate and make sure money gets where it needs to go. Ingrid has been chatting with Menna through video calls and has seen the bizarre reality Menna and her family is experiencing. Winter is coming and people in Gaza need all the help they can get.

This day retreat is a fundraiser for Menna and her family, however, if you are supporting another family or charity in Gaza, please feel free to donate to them instead. Donations that come to us will be transferred to Menna or click here to donate to Menna and her family yourself.

-------------------
Autumn is the season of transformational energy, introspection, and release. Treat yourself to a day of
nourishing self-care for body, mind, and spirit from the comfort of your home.

This Online Autumn Yoga Day Retreat is held on Saturday the 4th of October on Insight Timer from 10.00 to 14.15 UK Time and is dedicated to honouring autumn's teachings and self-care through yoga and goal setting.

Practising online during autumn allows you to embrace the season’s releasing energy without needing to leave your own cosy space. It is the perfect opportunity to nurture body, mind, and spirit while staying connected to a supportive online community.

With the autumn theme we practise a variety of yoga practices including postures, breathing techniques, meditation, yoga nidra, and mantra to nurture inner peace, increase clarity of mind, release pent up emotion, and restore connection to divine Self. By incorporating a goal-setting session and weaving it into our practise throughout the day, we focus on creating a framework to channel your aspirations, infusing your personal growth journey with direction and purpose.

The day retreat will leave you feeling relaxed, grounded, happy to flow with autumn's energy, and prepared for autumn with enthusiasm and a positive and uplifted outlook. It is suitable for adults and for any level of yoga experience as different options for postures will be given. If you are facing any health challenges please contact us before booking to make sure this retreat is suitable for you.

Classical Yoga

Each morning we will find a beautiful location to practise a 1 to 1.5 hour yoga session. This could be an idyllic beach or a harbour with beautiful views. Yoga is holistic self-care and during this retreat our morning practise will set us up for the day ahead. We focus on several aspects such as postures, breathing methods, mantra, and meditation. Yoga philosophy (mindfulness off the mat) is incorporated throughout the day.

Alternating days there will be Yoga Nidra or Satsang.
Yoga nidra:
Before or after lunch, make yourself comfortable to experience yoga nidra on board. Let yourself be guided into a meditative state and enjoy this nourishing and relaxing practice, also known as yogic sleep. Not familiar with yoga nidra? Read more about it here.

Satsang and meditation:
We gather around 8.30pm for Satsang and meditation. Sat roughly translates to truth and sang translates to together or community. Explore the 8 limbs of yoga, listen and discuss yogic text, and enjoy breathing and meditation practice. If you would like to know more about, for example, a specific yama or niyama, please do let us know as Ingrid is happy to accomodate.

It does not matter if you are a beginner or advanced practitioner. Ingrid creates yoga practises tailored to the group. When signing up for the retreat, she will be in touch with you and organise a call a few weeks before the retreat to discuss your hopes and requirements. Every day Ingrid will keep you up to date about timings for the practises. Flexibility during this retreat is key as we do not control the weather conditions.

Possible destinations

From Corfu - Gouvia we set sail for Sivota which is a beautiful coastal town with plenty of bars and restaurants. The Sivota Islands group are just offshore – Nisis Ay Nikolaos, Nisis Sivota and Nisis Mavros Notos. These rugged islands have long been popular with cruisers as good places to swim and unwind.

Next up will be the island of Paxos, with the first stop being Lakka Bay. Going ashore is simple and we can enjoy an afternoon here before the short hop to Gaios down the eastern coastline. Gaios is a natural harbour with a winding entrance that must be seen to be believed. Across the open sea on the mainland sits Parga, with its cascading buildings of spectacular colours. Be sure to bring your camera!

If the weather allows, we could travel back north to Petriti and anchor up at one of the Ionian's glorious sandy beaches where you have the option of a range of activities available. As we return to the island of Corfu, the choices open up. One option is to visit the old Venetian Fortress at Mandraki Harbour, within striking distance of Corfu Town; abound with bars and restaurants.
This is a sample itinerary and is subject to weather conditions and other considerations

For example, learning the ropes, practising parking or navigation could not be easier with expert tuition given at a level that you will understand and appreciate.

Fun is at the heart of all XP at Sea's endeavours and is also a big part of the retreat. Join in and who knows, you might fall in love with sailing. If you have never set foot on a yacht before, do not worry. Sailing experience is great but not necessary as your skipper, Blair Scott, is a very experienced sailing instructor and Yacht Master with the RYA. Actively sailing is fully optional. Polish off your sailing skills, chat yoga philosophy, meditate, read a book, or simply enjoy the sunshine. The choice is yours.

Ingrid also knows how to handle the ropes, you are in good hands.

Our Yacht - Sun Odyssey 440

It is incredibly important on a Yoga and Sail Retreat to be comfortable at all time. This yacht built in 2019 exceeds expectations on that front with 4 double cabins, each with individual mattresses made from modern foam technology for singular sleeping comfort.

The spacious galley area means that preparing and eating meals below is a pleasure, however why sit below when the sun will be shining on the incredible open deck and cockpit. Twin helming positions mean we can sail in style maintaining good balance as the boat heels, not to mention the easy-to-use touch-screen plotter a short glance away. With an in-mast reefing mainsail we can operate the sails from the cockpit. Simple and efficient.

Two heads available, along with two water tanks meaning a warm shower is never an issue. The low down swimming platform makes taking the plunge even more attractive. Overall, our modern monohulled yacht means we can really easily take advantage of nature's power and she will take us to wonderful places so we can focus on the yogic practices that are the main reason for joining us. With such a beautiful location on a yacht, we believe there is no better way to recharge the mind, body and soul!

Greek cuisine

On board we will strive to provide tasty and healthy vegetarian options for both breakfast and lunch. From traditional fruit and yoghurt with an option to add honey, to Greek salads and pittas. Of course, you get to have your say in the lead up to the trip. Please do let us know about any dietary requirements.

As you cannot experience culture without enjoying the local cuisine, the evening meals will be taken ashore at the local venues and restaurants that pervade the coastal towns and marinas that we will be visiting. Enjoy a bit of moussaka or keep it vegetarian with a delicious spanakopita. There are many options for you to sample and delight in.

Evening meals are not included. You are most welcome to use the kitchen if you prefer to stay a night in.

We meet on the 11th of October 2024 at Gouvia Marina on Corfu. There is no set time to arrive as this depends on travel arrangements, Ingrid and Blair are ready to welcome you in the afternoon. The boat will be ready to board in the afternoon as well.

Previous Yoga and Sail Retreat Testimonials

'I had a great time on this trip in Greece! As a novice sailor and not very experienced yogi, it was a great learning experience and great to see how what I learnt from yoga can be applied to sailing and vice versa. Blair was a great teacher who explained the basics of sailing to me throughout the trip and encouraged me to apply the newly learnt skills during our daily sailing sessions. Ingrid really immersed us in the world of yoga. She started the journey with some lighter and meditative exercises, developed them further and increased the level of difficulty day by day. I enjoyed learning to be present and fully embrace the experience. Having a group from all over the world made this trip very special and I hope that the friendships made on board will live on. All in all, I can only recommend the sailing-yoga retreat! You will have an unforgettable experience!' - Joëlle

'The Yoga & Sailing retreat is exactly what it says it is. To be honest I was expecting yoga to be just the exercise part but was pleasantly surprised to be immersed in a holistic yoga experience which I thoroughly enjoyed and which has stayed with me since. I already had some sailing experience but Blair is an amazing hands-off (hands-on for us!) instructor and I learnt more from him in one week than ever before. I would definitely go back for a repeat! Both Ingrid and Blair are lovely people who (I hope) have become lifelong friends.' - Maria

"I had a great time on the Yoga and Sail Retreat jointly run by XP at Sea and Petals and Aum. I didn’t really know what to expect when I arrived, but it was a great week. Yoga was woven in throughout the day which was an incredible experience but could also be intense. I learnt a ton which I try to practice in daily life particularly when struggling mentally. Blair helped me build on my sailing skills and confidence whilst skippering. Another great trip!" - Amanda

Tailored Yoga Nidras - Consultation and 1 recording

Let the practice of yoga nidra assist to process experiences and allow body, mind, and spirit to heal on a deep level. Tailored yoga nidras are created to assist an individual with Self work. For example, someone might want to release tension in the mind, feel happier within themselves, shift a self-limiting belief, or simply wants help to relax and be in the present moment.

Yoga nidra or yogic sleep is often referred to as deep relaxation or guided meditation but it is so much more. As with every yoga practice there are many descriptions of it, but it is our experience that counts. A practice where the body is fully supported and relaxed yet where we are very receptive and aware. This state allows body, mind, and spirit to process experiences and heal on a deep level. Yes, it is a paradox!

Benefits differs per person because no one has the same experiences. Possible benefits of practising yoga nidra regularly are: Feeling calm and relaxed, reduction in blood pressure, better sleep, releasing of tension in body and mind, feeling creative, improvement in sleep, better understanding of our Self, sharpening of senses, increasing energy levels, living in present, releasing specific fears or emotions, and deep healing of body and mind.

A consultation is arranged where you and Ingrid connect to have a conversation about your wants and needs for the yoga nidra. She will ask several questions to ensure the yoga nidras will be effective and of course you will have time to ask her any questions in regard to yoga nidra. Consultation could last up to 1 hour.

Ingrid will then take the time to create a tailored yoga nidra. An online session will be arranged to practice with Ingrid before she will send the recording to you.

£120 for consultation and 1 tailored and recorded yoga nidra.
